This was shot for my Pho 224 Multimedia Production class. The assignment was to create a sound portrait slideshow using soundslides. We had to study one subject and represent them through visual and audio portraits. This is just one of forty images that were taken for this project. I used an alien bee with a soft box. My canon 5D was used with a 24-105mm lens.

This was another magazine ad shot for James Walters class. We had to try and copy an ad and make sure the lighting, shadows, highlights, texture etc, were as close as possible. I used my canon 5D along with two bron-color power packs and four bron-color lights. Two with grids and two with soft boxes.

This was an image we had to shoot for James Walter. We had to choose any ad from any magazine and re-create it and come as close as possible to the ad as we could. I used my Canon 5D with a 24-105mm lens. I used one power pack with one bron-color light with a snoot. This was shoot in the studio.

This was shot for my Pho229 Advertising Photography Class. We had to create a Business card using InDesign or Illustrator. It had to represent our photography for self promotion. I Used an old image I had shot for my Large Format class and a new one that goes under the TJ. The one that is behind the TJ is kinda like my logo I would use on a real business card. I used my canon 5D and the outdoor light on the new image.

This was a jewelry assignment for my Pho229 Photography class. It was a jewelry advertisment that must be up close and dazzling. I used a 4x5 view camera with 4x5 transparency film and a 90mm lens. I had a limited amount of time to do this so I ended up shooting this in my bathroom on top of the toliet seat. I used two bron-color lights.

This was another image shot for my group project assignment. This image is two images merged together in photoshop. I had to have the bottles look a certain way for our ad. The bottom part is one image and above that is another image. I used two bron-color lights with two soft boxes. One power pack was used along with my Canon 5D and 24-105mm lens.

This is my eye! This was shot in my photo 215 class last semester.We had to come up with one picture or many pictures that represented us as an individual. Inside my eye is my mom and grandma, they are my heros and made me who I am today. This was shot by Christy Bullins in the studio with a Nikon D200. A 55mm micro lens was used and a bron-color with a snoot.

Once again this is my dog Lexi! I had to re-shoot this and fix a couple of things. I liked the zebra blanket better because it made Lexi stand out more. I used a white sheet for the background and the point was to make her ears be noticed and not let her fade in with the background. I used two alien bees and my canon 5D.

This is my dog Lexi! Taking pictures of her was not an easy task. The only reason she sat still for so long was because she was scared to death. I used my canon 5D and a bron-color light. I had a vivitar 285 lighting her on the left side just to pop a little flash into her outfit.

Mckayla Bullins finally turns one! I love to shoot photos of babies and small children because I like having a challenge and we all know asking a small child to sit still is impossible for more than 5 seconds. This was shot with a canon 5D with a 24-105 lens. I used a vivitar flash and the avaliable light coming from the front.

This was shot for my commercial photography class. I wanted to shoot my friend Amber because she is about to pop as you can tell. Dyson who is two is fasinated when the baby kicks. This was shot with my canon 5D and a 24-105mm lens. The exposure was f/4 @ 1/40 of a sec. I used light coming through the window which was to the left of them and a vivitar 285 flash which was bounced off of the ceiling.

I reshot this image because I wanted more focus on the jeans than the model. I used a vivitar 285 flash which was pointed on the diamonds and had two white fill cards laying at her feet to bounce some sunlight back up into the jeans. I used my Canon 5D with a 24-105mm lens. My exposure was f/13 @1/100 of a sec.

This computer portrait was of Haylie Kiger who was the best model ever! The image was shot for my Commercial Photography Class. The assignment was to illustrate lifestyles around the home computer. I used my canon 5D and a 24-105mm lens. I used the available light in the room and a vivitar 285 flash which was bounced off the ceiling.

These particular pictures were shot using a canon 5D and all outdoors using only a 285 vivitar flash. The pictures were taken for my commercial photography class assignment. The assignment was to pretend an aspiring model has come to me requesting shots for their model portfolio. We had to shot 10 images changing location and clothing.

This was shot for my commercial photography class. The flower was originally yellow and I didn't like the color it came out to be on screen so I changed it up a little in photoshop. I shot this in the studio on a black cloth with black walls all around. I used a 1600 bron-color powerpack with one 3200 bron-color with a soft box attached. The light was positioned above the flower and shining down. I used my canon 5D with 24-105mm lens.

This was shot for my commercial photography class. The assignment was to shot anything you wanted. I used a 1600 Bron-color power pack with to bron-color lights and two soft boxes. I used plenty of white cards to block some light that was unwanted in the picture. I used my canon 5-D and a 24-105mm lens. The ISO was 100 at 1/3 of a sec and f/14.

This was shot for my commercial photography class. The assignment was to create a book cover illustration for the cover of "Us and Them:A History of Intolerance in America" by Jim Carnes. "This is a story of some Americans who were hated by others simply for who they were, what they looked like or what they believed. Their experiences remind us that our democracy is still a work in progress." I shot this in the studio using a broncolor powerpack and a soft box attached to a broncolor. I used a canon 5D.

White All Around

This was a shot for my commercial photography class. This was one of the hardest setups I have ever had to do. This was shot with Ektachrome Transparency film on a Mamiya pro TL camera with a 150mm lens. It was shot at 1/60 of a sec at f/8. I used four broncolor power packs with six lights attached. The whole point of this assignment was to make the background solid white and have clean film when it was returned with no shadows anywhere on the film.

This shot was done in the studio using a plexi-glass table and two lights. A mini-mole was underneath the table with a gel placed over top. I had a 750 fresnell light about 6ft in the air shining down and it was front lit. I used a canon 5D with a 24-105mm lens.
